Backsploitation

My neck, my back...I think you know the rest. After a back pain-free life, I now understand what all the fuss is about. I've basically been bedridden for the last week after injuring my back in a soccer match.

While convalescing, I found this video by The Tough Alliance...they're from Sweden...of course they are. The songs called Silly Crimes. It's my first glimpse of the sea in quite some time.

Sucks man. But at least it is as good as time as ever to have that problem. No olas lately or in the near future it seems.

That is why I try to do no other sports than surfing. Long given up on basketball. It ain't worth it!

I like it, kind of sad seeing the empty waves, but, it felt right visually in the video.

As for soccer and your back, drink lots of water, don't get stuck in and start playing more two touch. :)

It seems the ocean's gone flat as I'm flat on my back. Good timing. Don't think I'm ready to throw in the towel on all extra-curricular activities.

Patch, kicking the soccer knowledge. I like it. As of right now, I'm not getting stuck in at all and I'm playing no touch football. Hopefully, be back to two touch this coming week...and, of course, entering back into the water.... Glad you like the song.

yeah!! isn't it awesome having to use your arms to lower yourself on to the shitter?? our how 'bout needing help pulling your pants on? Been there, my friend! At least you're not two weeks into a three month surf quest like i was. ease your way "back" into some yoga.

Yoga is definitely the way forward. Good call. I've gotten into a pretty good habit of dangling my pants down just low enough where I can just push my leg in. It's a proud day.

What did you do to your back in NZ?

Spent a day bent over hammering a bed platform together for my van. Surfed the next day and my back said, "piss off" as I popped up to catch my last wave to the beach. Took a month to get back to tolerable pain levels.

NOt suffering as bad as you but my back is currently fucked also. However, I find surfing helps iron it out, especially in cold water. As long as I spend more time paddling and not riding, which isn't very often... you know... bollox...

Just starting to feel normal again. Road the stationary bike (or as some like to say "went spinning") the last two nights, and it felt good. Of course, I want to jump right back in the water and onto the pitch, but trying to deny that instinct. Maybe I need some cold water therapy up north with you boys. Hope you feel better.
